How to communicate your design ideas
I often have clients come to me with so many ideas in their head, but they just don’t know how to communicate them. Or they are embarrassed to send me their rough sketches because they are hand drawn, or messy, or not good enough, not detailed enough, the list goes on…
Trust me, as designers we see all sorts of rough sketches and a lot of us can’t even hand draw ourselves! We absolutely do not expect a perfectly proportioned, detailed, technical digital sketch.
All I can say is, THAT’S WHY WE’RE HERE! To translate those ideas into something a factory can use to get your collection into production.
I do offer a fashion design service which eliminates you having to do this design development work. This way, you can simply come to me with a mood board and I will handle the rest.. But if you have your own design ideas to begin with, use them! I’ll also help you with choosing suitable fabrics and construction methods to make sure they’re workable.
Based on the emails I receive every day, I have put together an example. This is how it may look when you come to me with design ideas that need to be translated into technical CADs.
I hope this helps, and as always please feel free to get it touch if you're ready to bring your ideas to life!
